I’ve been packing up (and helping sell!) the WeCANFoil demo gear I was loaned for the summer to help get more people on the water foiling.
Just before de-rigging the Severne 5.6m Foil Freek sail and the 145 Alien foilboard we got another nice windy day. Jen was ready to get up on the foil again. I sailed the gear upwind and she came up in the boat.
Jen got on the board and uphauled. She was super competent and headed out to where it was windier. On her second run she got enough speed and started foiling. A nice run and then she just kept going faster! Splash and a brief scary moment with her foot and bootie stuck in the footstrap... but she got it out.
We were in communication with the BBTalking headsets so I could cheer her on. Here's a video of session.
The weather turned stormy shortly after her session so that was it for the day.
